Included in the latest developments are new sheet sizes, faster production speeds and an extended range of effects.
This means Celloglas has the ability to run a perfect holographic repeat print in the exact same print area.
Mirri is also now available for large format printers, with sizes of 1250x1850mm, up to 2000mm now achievable. In addition, Celloglas can offer reduced lead times on the production of Mirri.
The range has also been extended to include more finishes, including pillars of light, neon, sparks, blast and magma. The range is now laminated to a white back folding boxboard, as well as SBS.
According to Celloglas, this will allow packaging companies wishing to employ Mirri alongside a printable white reverse to use the product.
Andy Kirby, operations manager of the Mirri department at Celloglas, said: "We are all really excited by this development as it means Mirri is now on the agenda for more printers and designers who might never have previously considered it as an option.
"Mirri is visually an extremely powerful finish, and we are proud to have made the investment that now makes this more accessible to all. Mirri is no longer reserved for the top-end jobs, although it still has its place there, but can be used in many new ways, shapes and forms."
Applications for Mirri include perfumery and cosmetics, spirits, DVD cases and software, and point of sale.
Celloglas will be holding open days in July to show off the new applications.
