The board has a print-receptive coating and can be used for industrial and home composting.
It has a white back-folding boxboard with a metallised film that is manufactured from renewable wood pulp, sourced from managed plantations.
Andy Kirby, operations manager at Mirri, said: "There has been a major increase in the interest of biodegradable and home-compostable products.
"Our research shows that Mirri Bio is likely to appeal across all sectors, including packaging, multimedia, promotional, greetings and PoS."
Mirri Bio is available at 500micron/335gsm and 425micron/295gsm, 1,000x700mm.
Mirri has recently become FSC- and PEFC-accredited and produces decorative materials for the packaging, point-of-sale, crafts and promotional markets.

Celloglas division Mirri has responded to demand for biodegradable products with the launch of Mirri Bio - a home-compostable metallic board.
