Inveresk group finance director Gerard Cassels is to leave the company to take up a new job outside the paper industry.
Cassels will leave the company with effect from
19 August to join the
NMT Group as finance director.
It was a very difficult choice to make and the offer came completely out of the blue, he said.
Cassels said he was leaving Inveresk in an exceptionally strong position with Ken Minton in charge.
Although he said he was sad to hear of Donside Paper Companys demise (see p14), Cassels said it left Inveresk as the UKs only specialist label papers manufacturer.
Cassels has been on the Inveresk payroll since 1993 and was an adviser on the management buyout at the company in 1990.
