The Buzwell Group has staved off a winding-up petition against two of its companies at the 11th hour, while the future of two subsidiaries remains in doubt (PrintWeek, 19 August).
Recruitment company ExecutivesOnline filed the winding-up petition, which was heard in the High Court on 18 August. Buzwell Group and Buzwell Management paid monies into court prior to the hearing.
This resulted in an adjournment of the petition against the two, while an ExecutivesOnline petition remains against two of Buzwell's subsidiaries, SMS and Gridlock.
Buzwell came about in 2003 when chief executive Colin Parker, under the name Skyrooks, bought Perivan White Dove, now White Productions, from its administrative receivers. No one was available for comment.
