The marque design features a Union Jack-covered book, with the strapline 'Great British Books Published & Printed in the UK', and has already been taken up by publishers such as Hachette.
BT&D managing director Kevin Sarney said: "There is a genuine will out there to support British industry in these tough economic times.
"So we thought why not celebrate that and give publishers the option to use this marque to promote their books and boost sales."
Sarney said that books bearing the logo, which is applied either as a sticker to the cover, or printed in the imprint page, are already making their way into book stores. These include Sir Bobby Charlton's My Life in Football.
The company said the marque is available to other UK book printers to use, on the proviso that the request to use it comes from the publisher.
Sarney said the new logo is currently centre stage at BT&D's stand at the Frankfurt Book Fair, where the company is promoting its cost-effectiveness to European print buyers because of the weak pound.
