Last years BPIF UK Company of the Year, Buckingham Colour Print, is in three categories this year environment, marketing and eBusiness. And Cornwalls TJ International and Wakefields bezier have both reached the shortlist in more than one category.
There are 11 categories and this year two new awards have been introduced, marketing and eBusiness. BPIF director of corporate and external affairs Cicely Brown said she was "delighted" by the calibre of entries.
"[They] made the jobs of every one of the 28 judges extremely difficult and hairs have had to be split to find winners," Brown added.
Tickets for the event, to be held at the London Marriott on 15 September, have been in high demand since the announcement that Lord Gavron, founder of St Ives, would deliver a keynote speech (PrintWeek, 26 June), Brown said.
The staging of the annual All Party Group meeting at the House of Commons terrace on the afternoon of 15 September would also bring more printers to the capital for the event, she said.
