BPIF adds Linney and Pavlosky as non-executives

The BPIF is making its board "representative" of its membership and the industry by appointing Linney Group managing director Miles Linney (pictured) as a non-executive director and backing the election of Polestar chief operating officer Chris Pavlosky.

Linney was elected as a non-executive at a recent national council meeting, while Pavlosky's election will be proposed at the next meeting, in October.

Linney said it was an exciting time to be joining the board, and he hoped his experience of managing transition would benefit the BPIF in implementing recommendations from the Print 21 report.

Pavlosky said it was time for Polestar to "join forces" with the BPIF to lobby government. Last month he was named as the main point of contact between Polestar and the BPIF when the print group joined the federation as a platinum member (PrintWeek, 5 July).

BPIF president Peter Yates said that the skills and commitment of board members would "drive this organisation forward".

If elected, Pavlosky would be the BPIF's seventh non-executive director. Michael Johnson leads the five-strong executive team.
