The printer based in Okhla, the industrial hub of New Delhi opted for the integrated digital printer and cutter to complement its core offering of litho, digital equipment and photo album printing.
Siddharth Raj Malhotra, director at Arun & Rajive, said: "The investment has expanded our product offering into the display signage and banner market. This will allow us to offer all services under one roof, as it will also complement our HP Indigo 5500 setup."
The wide-format solvent printer has a 54-in width and is a six-colour machine that can run as CMYKLcLm plus double white and print at any length at a maximum speed of 41sqm an hour, at a maximum resolution of 1,440dpi.
The white ink adds up to the versatility for the printers to print in three configurations - CMYK plus white, white only and CMYK - and can be used with opaques such as gold and silver.
"The printer is a handy tool for auto industry to print outdoor and indoor signages with the ability to print the metallic shades of the car," added Malhotra.
The 35 year old company was established in 1975 and has a 30-staff and with an annual turnover of 3.5-cr. It has a good clientele that includes names like Bajaj Capital, HP, Reliance Fresh, Lilliput Kidswear, Mohan Meakin Hero Honda.
Arun & Rajive runs a brace of four-colour Planeta Super Variant Offset Press and one single-colour HMT Nebiolo Offset Press along with India's first seven-colour HP Indigo 5500 digital offset press. The plant also has a Epson 9900 Pro wide-format printers to print high quality indoor posters and signage, photo enlargements and art reproductions on a wide variety of media including canvas.

Digital specialist Arun & Rajive has opened up new revenue streams with its foray into wide-format with a Roland DG SolJet XC-540 MT.
