The move has allowed the Stockport company to eradicate the need for outsourced finishing, and technical
director Shaun Cunningham (pictured) said it could save the firm around £10,000 a month.
He added: “We chose the Horizon because it was sheetfed, rather than taking folded sections, and that is a more efficient way of producing booklets – it cuts out one entire process.
“It is perfect for the type of run lengths we are doing, which are mainly 4,000 to 6,000, and is very easy to
use because it is all computer-controlled.”
Established in 1974, APG Visual Colour has a turnover of around £2m and 35 staff.
