AGI Media Packaging has expanded its speciality packaging operations with acquisition of TM.
London-based TM, known as Trademasters, specialises in design, pre-press and printing for the film industry, including the booming DVD sector. It installed the UKs first Speedmaster 74 DI at the beginning of last year.
"We are hugely strong in music and media, and this acquisition enables us to make a very very substantial entry into the film industry," explained AGI chief operating officer Lee Newbon.
TM employs 148 people, and has grown rapidly over the past year with sales expected to hit 15m in 2001. The sale price was not disclosed.
