UPDATED: October is shaping up to be a busy month with a raft of new virtual events and webinars taking place to fill the gap left by physical expos at present.

Agfa is hosting part two of its Studio 5D10 virtual event, with the latest sessions focusing on inkjet printing. Studio 5D10 is named after what would have been Agfa’s hall and stand number at Drupa. The event, from 6-8 October, will involve two broadcasts a day including expert sessions and user case studies, as well as time for Q&A.

Content creation specialist Esko Brand Solutions has organised a new webinar, The Packaging Content Show. It will feature trends in artwork management in retail and consumer packaged goods, with speakers in the first session, on 6 October, including Walgreen Boots Alliance and Lindt.

Labeltraxx and Xeikon have teamed up to hold a webinar focused on ‘the critical importance of workflow in production printing’, which will take place on 7 October. It aims to highlight the power of workflow as “the true differentiator” for label printers.

Duplo is hosting its 2020 Product Launch Event online. This kicks off on 7 October with a preview of the new products being showcased. Specific products and workflow solutions then get their own slots on 26, 28 and 29 October, with the sessions repeated on 2, 4 and 5 November. The focus is on automation, flexibility and premium outputs.

Later this month FM Future will hold its second FuturePrint Virtual Summit with a wide range of industry manufacturers giving presentations over the course of five days, and featuring a mammoth 122 speakers. The event runs from 12-16 October.

Heidelberg is running its own ‘Innovation Week’ from 19-23 October, featuring product presentations as well as one-to-one interactions via video chat. Under the banner of "Unfold Your Potential" it will encompass commercial, label and packaging print and the global event will involve sales staff in more than 35 countries, 15 time zones and 30 languages. A “digital customer experience” is also available through Heidelberg’s new myHD app.

Fespa has also launched a series of ‘Coffee Break Webinars’ which will take place every fortnight, starting on 20 October. The sessions, of up to 40 minutes, will be hosted by Fespa technical support manager, Graeme Richardson-Locke. The first session will focus on process control.
