Adare opens new warehouse after outgrowing existing site

Adare has opened a new 4,181sqm warehouse, which will act as a stand-alone fulfilment services department, after outgrowing its existing Southam facility.

The Northampton-based site, Cavalry Hill, which was opened on 1 June, will operate a dedicated service for Adare's retail and corporate clients, including storage, collation and distribution of printed point-of-sale material.

The investment has freed up space at Adare's existing Southam operation, which will now focus exclusively on the company's growing portfolio of financial services clients.

Divisional director Mark McDonnell said: "The launch of Cavalry Hill is testament to a host of new client wins that have seen us outgrow our Southam site and have brought about this investment in new premises in order to meet increased demand.

"The strategic move to divide retail and corporate and financial services operations between sites will enhance services and is a key milestone in supporting the future growth of the business within this area."

Rebecca Sullivan, a former department manager at Adare's Southam site, will head up the Northampton facility following her appointment as head of fulfilment services.

Adare said the Southam site will be manned by a mix of new and existing staff, resulting in around 60 new full- and part-time jobs.

The expansion of Adare's fulfilment services division follows a period of strategic development at the company, including the launch of its new multi-million pound direct mail centre in February.
