The communications company secured the status on 16 April and has also been approved as an authorised warehouse-keeper by HMRC.
The new accreditation will allow Communisis to store and distribute beer, wine, spirits, perry, or cider while allowing businesses to push out the payment of custom duties until the goods are released from the bonded warehouse.
David Majarich, managing director for campaign fulfilment at Communisis, said: “This enables our business to offer a more complete service to clients in a fast-growing industry, particularly in support of their pivotal in-store activations.
“Anything that can improve cashflow during distribution is a key consideration for our clients and our new authorisation allows us to play an important role in that."
Communisis’ campaign fulfilment arm, operating over two sites in Newcastle, specialises in storage, stock management, kitting, collation, response handling, brand fulfilment strategy, logistics services, and co-packing and product manipulation. Clients include Bacardi, Brown-Forman, EE, Kellogg’s, and Nando’s.
