The twin 700s will complement the company's existing Xerox iGen3 machine and will be used to produce high-volume colour direct mail pieces.
Robin Skinner, group sales and marketing director, said 4DM had decided the Xerox 700 was the press to "clearly meet our immediate needs".
He added: "The iGen3 has been a fantastic tool, but the new 700s give us an interim platform while we assess further moves in the digital press arena."
The Kettering-based company will use the presses to produce direct mail shot on a range of substrates, including work for a retail client that recently awarded a print contract to 4DM.
Skinner said: "The two 700s and our iGen3 are really geared up for that type of work. With the extra capacity, we can now pick and choose what press we use, which gives us a contingency plan."
The Xerox 700 is aimed at the production of photo books, brochures, direct mail pieces, catalogues, calendars and postcards.
It can output at speeds of up to 70ppm in both colour and mono production and on stock weights ranging from 64-300gsm.
