Why did you get into printing?
Almost entirely unintentionally. I initially got a job here, as an account manager, to raise money for travelling. One thing led to another and I found myself really enjoying working for the family firm. Five years later and I’m on the board of directors
What would be your dream job?
My ideal job would be helping to form environmental policy especially at an international level. I really want to make a lasting difference at some point. That or writer. I love to read and I would equally love to write stories
What is your dream bit of kit?
I have just got a new full suspension mountain bike, a Specialized Camber Evo, and it is literally beautiful
What would you most like to print?
Maps! I’ve always loved them, I think they are always so beautiful
What is your favourite TV show?
House of Cards is unbelievably good, though I hate having to wait for the next season. I also love the sense of humour in Archer, but be warned it is completely politically incorrect!
Who or what do you hate the most?
I hate traffic. No hesitation. Congestion is the worst. It’s why I cycle when I can and partly why I’m very much in support of cycling cities. Congestion wastes time, money and ruins the air quality in our cities
Who do you admire most in the industry?
For obvious reasons, my father, Dave Broadway (managing director of CFH). He has been a constant pillar of support in my career so far
What is your greatest ambition?
I hugely want to join government and make a lasting difference to politics in this country, which in my opinion is thoroughly broken
What piece of kit would you like to see invented?
Electric cars, lorries and planes with the same range as the current fossil fuel versions. Climate change is the greatest risk to humanity and the quicker we switch away from fossil fuel the better
Where would you like to be now?
Somewhere hot, with a beach, listening to waves lapping the shore, sipping a beer, with a really good book
Which superpower would you like?
Superman strength. It would make Hoovering so easy
Where would you go if you could time-travel?
Probably ancient Greece. I’d like to see where all of the legends come from and see if Troy ever existed, and it doesn’t hurt that it would be nice and warm
What is the worst kind of print?
Poor quality print! There just isn’t an excuse
How would you like to be remembered?
I’ve always thought that the caption on my gravestone or plaque or whatever should read: “Nothing in moderation”
Life is…?
Beautiful, short and to be treasured
