Why did you get into printing?
Two friends were working for Polyprint and introduced me. I was working in a fish and chip shop at the time

England manager, either for the football or cricket teams
What is your dream bit of kit?
I have always used Uteco kit and the Onyx press we installed last year is certainly a dream

What is your favourite phrase?
‘Proper preparation prevents poor performance’ – that was taught to me by an ex-Army man I worked with

What is your greatest luxury in life?
Life itself – we’re here for such a short time
Who would you like to be stuck on a desert island with?
Freddie Flintoff, as long as there was a keg of beer
What is your greatest ambition?
Simply to be the best at whatever I do

Keith Lemon and my colleague Chris, who always has a funny story to tell
Most embarrassing moment?
Too many to mention, mostly when I have had one or two too many
What’s your worst fashion disaster?
I have had some horrendous shirts over the years. Mysteriously, they seem to have started disappearing from my wardrobe since I got married

Back to Elizabethan times. I’m just curious about what it was like. Or back to when I was 14, so that I could tell myself what I know now
