Simon is 53 and has worked in the printing industry for 19 years. He is married with two children, and in his spare time “enjoys country walks followed by a nice meal out with the wife”.

Why did you get into printing?

By chance and just fell in love with it!

What would be your dream job?

I’d love to be the lead singer in a band

Who would play you in a movie about your life?

Bruce Willis, but with a bit of added weight!

What is your dream bit of kit?

The Mark Andy P4 Series that we currently operate at Etiquette is fantastic and the work we are able to produce with it is really impressive

What is your favourite film?

A toss-up between Field of Dreams and the Lord of the Rings trilogy

What is the worst kind of print?

Anything out of registration! There is just no excuse

Who do you admire most in the industry?

A gentleman named Tony Edwards who taught me everything I know about print in my early days at Etiquette

What is your favourite saying?

‘I could eat that again!’

What is your favourite album?

Seldom Seen Kid by Elbow and One Step Beyond by Madness

What is your favourite book?

I love anything by James Herbert

Cat or dog or…?

I don’t have any pets at the moment, but I used to have a snake

What is your greatest luxury in life?

Being a husband and father to a wonderful wife and two great sons

What is the strangest job you’ve had?

I once had a job developing X-Ray images and saw many strange things. People will do all sorts to their bodies!

Who would you like to be stuck on a desert island with?

Apart from my family, I’d pick Suggs from Madness and Holly Willoughby

What is your greatest ambition?

To see my two boys succeed and be happy in life

My colleagues in work and Keith Lemon

Where would you like to be right now?

On a Caribbean beach with my wife

Which superpower would you like to have?

The ability to be invisible and teleport wherever I wanted

Where would you go if you could time travel?

I’d go back and see Elvis perform his live sessions

I wanted to play football for Everton

What advice would you give your teenage self?

Follow your dreams and stick to them no matter what. Always try your best

As someone that got on with everyone and tried to be a decent bloke
