Q&A: Kim Claxton, office manager, Polyprint

Polyprint Mailing Films office manager Kim is 43 and has two children. Good red wine, classic prison movies and sunny beaches are among her favourite things. Along with Polyprint's latest conversion machine, of course.

Why did you get into printing?
I worked as production manager for a number of years for polythene packaging firms, and found the print side of the business interesting.  Then the opportunity came up at Polyprint, so I grabbed it

The Shawshank Redemption

My Family

Who or what do you hate the most?
Arrogance and cruelty to children or animals

What is your favourite phrase or saying?

What is your greatest luxury in life?
Good red wine

What is the strangest job you have ever done?
I worked on building sites when in my teens for two years as a site clerk – me and 50 men. I certainly had to learn quickly how to deal with the male sense of humour

What is your greatest ambition?
To ensure my children have a good life and at least try to achieve their dreams

Where would you like to be right now?
Lazing in the sunshine on a quiet beach

Which superpower would you like to have?
With petrol prices as they are, the ability to fly. My kids would love it

What was your childhood obsession?
Making perfume from the petals in my mum’s garden (sorry, Mum)
