The Junior Journalist group, set up last year to enrich the education of ‘gifted and talented’ ten and 11-year-olds, was shown around by Pureprint business development director Simon Cooper. The group, which is also in the process of creating a local news magazine, was educated about printing processes and shown Pureprint’s range of litho and digital machines.
The children were also given an insight into the importance of environmentally-friendly practices in print, and were given a photo board as a souvenir of the trip.
Pureprint’s Cooper said: "I was delighted to show the children around the factory and hopefully inspire a new generation of young talent to see printing as a vibrant, innovative and adaptable industry that they would like to be part of."
