Printers offered advice on environment at recycling open day

Saxon Recycling has provided environmental support for printers at its first Spillage Control and Duty of Care training and open day.

The day offered Saxon's customers the opportunity to take part in a spillage control training session and to witness the workings of its transfer station.

Mick Adams, managing director of the Cambridgeshire-based company, said the course was well received by those who attended.

"We are dedicated to maximising the amount of customer materials that are recycled, which is already more than 90%, and we have pledged to continue to reduce the remaining element that goes to landfill over the next two years," he added.

Saxon Recycling collects waste materials from the printing and photographic industries. It also provides containers for font solutions, inks and ink tins.
