The Cambridge, UK-based firm's Ixpressionist package works offline, creating multi-page PDFs with variable text, images and barcodes that can be used with any RIP and printer.
"We identified a market of companies who wanted to add variable data support to their existing wide-format digital printing equipment," said Ixpressia managing director Jim Taylor. "There's a lot of interest from the wide-format market in variable data, but unlike other markets there is no need for real-time data processing. Pre-processing is better."
A basic version costs £800, while an advanced version, which adds features for high-volume and power users, costs £1,600.
The software will be shown at Fespa (Hall B1/161), where the firm will also be looking for dealers and distributors. It is already available to buy direct from the Ixpressia website. Ixpressionist is based on the firm's real-time full-colour personalisation software, which is designed for high speed personalised label and ID card production.
