Ashgate Automation is exhibiting on two stands at Ipex. On the Fastbind stand, Ashgate will be showing the latest Fastbind range of perfect binders, hardcover makers and photobook makers. During the show, visitors can produce their own personalised lay-flat photobooks, yearbooks, ring binders and CD/DVD cases.

Heidelberg will demonstrate the Eurobind 600 and 1300, which have just been awarded a safety accreditation in Germany for its PUR option. According to Heidelberg, very few machines have achieved this standard from the German Insurance Association.

Ipex is the setting for the world launch of the Horizon BQ-160 single-clamp perfect binder with PUR options. The machine has a production speed of 180 cycles per hour for books up to 40mm thick and incorporates icon-based touch-screen technology. Other options include an electric book clamp, two-way notching and a dynamic nipper table for automatic book sizing. Also taking centre stage will be the Horizon CABS6000, a 17-clamp binder with the ability to handle 6,000 books per hour. It can bind various book sizes in-line from A6 to B4.
