Inc Direct prints personalised book to lock in Nissan buyers

Inc Direct has printed a run of personalised books for car manufacturer Nissan aimed at retaining customer's pre-orders for the company's new sports car, the GT-R.

The Enfield-based printer carried out the job to produce the 'keep warm' book for the agency Tullo Marshall Warren (TMW) to help minimise order cancellations for the vehicle.

The hardback book, housed in a black box, comes adorned with the customer's name. In addition, the title features the client's name written on a race track image, as well as a picture of the customer test-driving the GT-R.

It was printed on the company's Xerox iGen3 setup before being perfect bound. Inc Direct has printed an initial run of around 2,500 copies of the book, with the project on-going for potential new customers.

Andy Bailey, sales director at Inc Direct, said the company carried out a comprehensive range of quality checks on the project from start to finish, as well deciding which binding technique would produce the best results.

Benn Haitsma, group account director at TMW, said "With only a limited number of GT-Rs being released, maintaining customer's interest is paramount to Nissan Europe.

"We are confident the book will continue to generate excitement and add an air of exclusivity to the Nissan GT-R."
