The inkjet digital press can be used for inline and nearline integration in packaging lines, and is especially suited to the pharmaceutical and medical engineering industries.
It has an extremely high level of flexibility and production reliability for individual and integrated printing of blister foils, according to the company.
Matthias Hartung, corporate public relations at Heidelberg, said: "This press is integrated at the end of the process line, and its advantage is that it can print short run and variable data."
The press is available at a mid range price when compared with similar machines in the marketplace.
The DriveLine F system uses specially developed UV inks with a low migration potential.
It has an integrated print control system that Heidelberg said ensures a perfect match of layout and input data in production.
DriveLine F processes aluminum, composite and plastic foil in widths up to 320mm, and can print foil widths of up to 280mm.
Daniel Dreyer, head of the Heidelberg Linoprint business area, said the printer is ideal for variable, high-quality printing of labels, aluminum blister and plastic foils, and folding boxes.
He said: "It is designed for sensitive pharmaceutical packaging. The system enables pharmaceutical manufacturers and packaging companies to integrate digital inkjet printing into their production lines for safe and reliable printing of individualised packaging materials."
Interpack will be held in Dusseldorf from 12 to 18 May.
