The paper has a smooth surface and high whiteness level and is part of the paper manufacturer's Digital Needs Specialist portfolio.
It has a specially optimised surface that absorbs water-based dye or pigment inks at high printing speeds of 200m per minute and higher.
Johannes Klumpp, marketing and sales director for Mondi Uncoated Fine Paper, said the product could be used on machines with both dye and pigment inks.
He said: "DNS high-speed inkjet can help printers save money in terms of ink usage; the paper's high colour density is attributed to its special surface treatment; therefore printers can achieve excellent results using low ink levels, which is more economical."
He added that print results remain consistently high, even over a multitude of print runs.
"Our digital paper portfolio and our digital printing initiatives are continuously developing," he said.
The DNS high-speed inkjet paper can be used for transactional, transpromotional, direct mail applications, and book-on-demand applications.
It is available in 80 and 90gsm reels ranging in diameter from 700-1450mm and offering reel widths from 21cm and wider as well as vertical and horizontal reel orientations.
