The magazine – the sister title to Men’s Health - is already published in 12 countries with a further 9 launches planned in the next 12 months.
It will be published on a quarterly basis, with the first issue on sale 8 February. A dedicated Women’s Health website will be launched in December.
Hearst-Rodale said the magazine will be similar to Men’s Health in its ethos, focusing on health as a lifestyle and featuring articles on beauty, fashion, celebrity, fitness and nutrition. It will be positioned on the newsstands in the women’s lifestyle sector alongside Cosmopolitan, Glamour and Marie Claire.
Hearst-Rodale UK group publishing director Alun Williams said: "We are committed to growing our portfolio in the UK, and following its unprecedented success worldwide, Women’s Health is the next natural step for our business."
A spokesperson for Hearst-Rodale said the printer and pagination for the magazine were yet to be confirmed.
