Sharon Harper has secured a sponsor for the project, but appeals in the local newspaper for a printer willing to print the calendar pro bono have so far gone unheeded.
The project, which will require an initial run of 1,000 copies, involves 12 local women stripping off and having their photos shot in Degas-style poses.
Harper added that she hoped to stock the calendar in Cancer Research UK stores across the country with all profits going to the charity.
The final shoot will be held next Tuesday and Harper hopes to get the prints out as soon as possible after that in order to promote the product in time for sales in 2010.
