Working at speeds of 1,400 items per hour, and handling up to 110gsm weight sheets, the machine can turn any digitally printed A3 cut sheet into both an insert and envelope and deliver a finished product.
A digitally printed A3 sheet (297x420mm) is slit is half to form an insert and envelope wrap. The wrap is then sent for gluing before the two pieces are merged back together as the wrap is folded and closed around the letter. The machine can also handle A4 sheets, managing up to three sheets per envelope.
The system is suited to firms that produce small- to medium-sized direct mail runs but yet do not want to invest in an inserting machine. Graphics and detailed designs can be printed on the envelope allowing them to be completely customised and utilising the entire white space. Corresponding personalised envelopes and inserts can be produced, integrating marketing campaigns into all parts of the job.
The machine is equipped with two barcode readers positioned at the start and end of the production line. The first is used to read and input job information while the second is used to reunite the insert and the wrap. The datamatrix camera system can also track documents, detecting and removing rejected jobs as well as displaying information on the EasyMailer’s built-in interface.
A variety of variable imaging software can be used during the design stages including XMPie, Darwin, Print Shop Mail and Printsoft.
Prices start at £90,000.
