The programme aims to help users quickly get started with variable data printing and includes a range of sample products showcasing what is possible with personalisation. These have been sub-divided into five categories – real estate, events, education, retail and health – which cover applications such as academic diplomas, name tags and welcome letters.
The samples have been designed to show how simple applications such as mail merge and data merge can be used to create the basis for variable data documents. Each is presented with step-by-step instructions for opening, viewing and printing documents using Fiery Freeform.
“Some firms are pioneers in variable data print and know exactly what they want to do, but there are still a lot of printers who are scared of the data. We want people who have bought a digital press to be able to get the most out of it,” says Danny Morris the firm’s regional sales manager.
The samples can be adapted to suit a wide variety of applications, meaning they can then be edited and used as a basis for customer jobs. By adapting databases users eliminate the need to start the process from scratch, simplifying the production process of personalised jobs.
