Produced at Reno de Medici’s La Rochette mill in France, Rochperle Kit 8 is an FSC-certified virgin-fibre barrier board suitable for many food industry applications where a grease resistance is required.
The product is commercially available with immediate effect through Warren’s new express reel-to-sheet service, with stocks already in place and more to come according to managing director Kieran Ferguson.
“Plastic-free barrier boards are gaining in popularity across the industry but until now service options were limited to mill productions and sheet stocks,” he said.
“This new express service gives our customers the opportunity to access tailor-made orders within three to five working days, helping minimise waste and cost while also improving their own service offering to their customers.
“Rochperle Kit 8 complements perfectly the other cartonboard grades available in our reel-to-sheet range, namely, Tambrite HS, Accurate Freeze, Serviliner and Hermicoat WR.”
With regards to pricing, Ferguson added it was difficult to compare on a like-for-like basis, as it’s a unique service offering, “but we’re very confident we can supply at price levels that will be competitive against mill productions as well as the traditional stock offering of pallets”.
Previously historically known only for its board products, Warren moved into paper distribution for the first time in 2014. The firm provides a regional service covering the East and West Midlands, the North East, the South West and Scotland.
ISO 14001-certified, Warren has 47 staff and sales approaching 40,000 tonnes per annum with a turnover in excess of £32m. It runs from a 3,900sqm converting facility in West Bromwich in the West Midlands and a 10,400sqm warehouse in Glenfield, Leicestershire. Its customers range from commercial and general printers through to carton convertors throughout the UK and Europe.
Earlier this year the business added the Creator range of FSC certified papers and boards to its portfolio.
