The new 1.2m-wide film is available in both mirror and brushed finishes. It offers three-year outdoor durability for applications on flat or slightly curved surfaces, according to the manufacturer.
It joins gold and silver, which have been offered in the 6500 range since its launch, with the new colour available to market as of mid-October. It is priced by the metre.
Product manager Steve Jacques said: “With our ImagePerfect range we promise quality, efficiency and integrity – plus, it will be priced more competitively than its equivalents.
“We went with rose gold as it is showing itself to be a popular fashion choice in the current market – we have recently introduced it to a number of our ranges. It works well at luxury locations like hotels and casinos, but also at events like trade shows and exhibitions.
“Also, with the festive season, there is a lot of opportunity for window displays as it looks very dramatic and dynamic when applied to glass. There is a lot of inherent interest for this kind of colour across the market.”
Used as a component in signmaking, the vinyl can be converted using any standard plotter, while Jacques said the material works well with heat transfer processes.
Rose gold, also called rose quartz, was named Pantone Colour of the Year in 2016, which Jacques said has contributed to its recent popularity.
Although it represents a fresh addition to a range Spandex has distributed for many years, he said it was unlikely that another new colour would be introduced in the immediate future.
