The range, which is available with immediate effect, consists of three products; IP 2922 Magnetic Film Premium (300mic), IP 2923 Magnetic Film Premium Heavy (500mic) and IP 2924 Ferro Film.
The supplier said these products can be used to cost-effectively produce versatile printed graphics for a range of retail POS, signage and display applications, as well as smaller promotional items.
Magnetic substrates can be used to produce reusable and durable sign and display products that have a longer lifecycle than conventionally printed wide-format graphics.
According to Spandex, magnetic graphics are easy to transport and install and can be applied quickly by in-store staff. This removes complexity and the cost of professional installation and allows for rapid changes to displays.
Both products have a white matt surface, which enables photo-quality printing, and are optimised for use on wide-format digital inkjet printers with a range of solvent, eco-solvent and UV-cured inks. Both films can be applied to the majority of steel-based surfaces.
IP 2924 Ferro Film is a white ferrous substrate coated with micro-iron particles to create a strong magnetic attraction. M517, a self-adhesive magnetic sheet for use with IP 2924, is also new to the range.
The entire collection of ImagePerfect magnetic products can be score-cut or contour-cut, either manually or with a CAD/CAM plotter. This enables users to create custom shapes and makes the materials suitable for applications including fridge magnets and shelf-edge markings and displays.
“Signmakers and graphics producers are always looking for products that will give them new creative capabilities while also delivering cost-efficient solutions for their clients,” said Spandex ImagePerfect category manager Steve Jacques.
“The launch of our new magnetics collection allows Spandex customers to respond to the evolving demands of their clients for flexible, premium-quality signage and visual merchandising that can be easily updated in the shortest possible timeframe.”
Other recent additions to Spandex’s range of ImagePerfect materials include ImagePerfect Self-Adhesive Wall Textile (IP 2324) and self-adhesive outdoor media product IP2555 StreetApp.
The company has also recently extended its portfolio of Avery Dennison films to include two new short-term matt promotional films, MPI 3026 Matt Supertack and MPI 3010 Matt.
Spandex also supplies specialist materials from brands including 3M, Arlon and Mactac as well as equipment, accessories and materials designed to complement the displays range.
