Oracal 970 Premium Shift Effect Cast film boasts what the company calls a "unique shade-shifting effect" where the colour changes depending on the viewing angle.
Spandex UK general manager Leon Watson said the wrap sector was “still a fast-growing and lucrative market”.
“What's driving the market is the ability to change the look and feel of a car without having to change that car – a huge saving in costs," he said.
“Our company is growing at just over 48% a year and I'm not sure we will see an end to the growth across the sector any time soon: people always want a new look for their cars.”
The Oracal 970 Premium Shift Effect cast is a multi-layered, high-performance cast PVC film developed for complete car wraps. It cost under £20 per linear meter, said Watson.
Suitable for use on uneven and slightly curved surfaces, it is available in both glossy and matt finishes, comes in 25m and 50m roll lengths and is both repositionable and permanent.
Watson said the product offered excellent dimensional stability and high durability making it ideal for the vehicle wrapping market.
The launch follows the unveiling in spring of a new collection of high-quality ImagePerfect printable substrates for use in magnetic applications.
Three products; IP 2922 Magnetic Film Premium, IP 2923 Magnetic Film Premium Heavy and IP 2924 Ferro Film are targeted at cost-effective POS, signage and display applications.
