With immediate effect, the company is now stocking the ST608 Athena Backlit material, which it said is produced using the latest coating line technology to give a smooth textile finish.
Available up to 3.2m wide and suitable for both UV and latex inks, Athena is targeted at the retail and exhibition graphics markets.
Two new products from Soyang’s Portuguese partner Endutex have also been added to the textile portfolio – Terra 260 BW FR Black Back and Sirius Backlit.
Terra 260 is a black back textile suitable for retail and exhibition graphics where there is a requirement to have no light from the reverse, such as when disguising a supporting framework or concealing existing graphics. Available in widths up to 5m, the substrate can be printed with both UV and latex inks.
Sirius, meanwhile, is a high-quality backlit fabric that is also available in widths up to 5m. Compatible with both UV and latex printers, the product is suitable for larger, more extensive graphics.
Both new fabrics satisfy the stringent EN13501-1 fire classification procedure.
Soyang Europe sales manager Tim Egerton said: “There aren’t that many five-metre-wide backlit textiles available but we’re lucky to have several from Endutex.
“Five metres gives you a seamless graphic. If you are printing two lots of 2.5 metres, then you’d have to try and stitch a hem in of some description to join the two halves of the graphic together which would give you an unsightly hemline.”
New to Soyang’s flooring portfolio are Universal Floor and Grip Floor, both of which feature FR certification.
Suitable for short-term use for applications such as exhibition stands, where a comfortable cushioned surface can be combined with printed graphics or designs, Universal Floor is available in widths up to 4m and can be printed on larger UV and latex machines.
“With Universal Floor we’ve been able to introduce a cost-effective option to put it at a different price level to the other options that we offer,” said Egerton.
“So if somebody is on a tight budget then we’ve got solutions for that and if somebody has got a more flexible budget then we’ve got options for that as well.”
He added: “Because it’s a relatively short-term product, you could use Universal Floor for the flooring area in a shop window display, for example, where you’re not going to get heavy footfall.”
Grip Floor is a durable, printable flooring substrate with a rough surface, giving it satisfactory anti-slip performance that Soyang said fulfils health and safety requirements.
Available in a 1.05m width and compatible with UV, latex and solvent inks, this self-adhesive backed PVC flooring with anti-slip certification is also targeted at the exhibition and retail sectors.
