The company, which supplies packages for signmaking, wide-format digital printing and CAD/CAM for CNC machining industries, said the upgrade would improve workflow.
They are included in FlexiPrint Premium, FlexiSign-Pro Edition and FlexiPrint basic edition software, available on HP bundles for customers of the HP Latex 310 and 330 printers.
All three packages comprise Microsoft Windows 10 compatibility, intuitive job-nesting alignment tools and an updated HP Latex Driver SDK.
In addition, those running FlexiPrint Premium and FlexiSign Pro – typically signmakers or those with expanding businesses – can use the tools to improve design, print and workflow.
“The upgrades to FlexiPrint HP Latex Edition software offer increased functionality to users of the HP Latex 300 series printer systems,” said product director Gudrun Bonte.
“This will allow far greater performance and flexibility while ensuring a much more efficient workflow to support overall production throughput.”
Bonte said the package was launched in late February and was available now in the UK, with new features based on customer feedback.
“They wanted features that would help them with their productivity,” she explained. “The version is targeted at sign and print providers with HP Latex 300 series printers.
“The banner and canvas finishing tools are most popular new features. The new banner-finishing tools enables printers to reduce finishing time from 20 to five minutes on longer-run banner jobs.
“They can do longer-run banner jobs with same-day turnaround that they would otherwise have had to turn down. This is because the tool automatically puts finishing marks on every banner copy.
“Without the tool, this is done manually on each banner and can take five to seven minutes per banner. Imagine the time and cost savings on a 20 banner order.”
Existing customers can download the new updates through the ‘Free V12 Download' icon in the cloud web window.
All new orders of SAI FlexiPrint Basic, Premium and FlexiSign-Pro HP Latex Edition include the new Version 12 and do not need to be updated.
Among the new features is an Artwork Approval Tool to save time and get designs approved quicker by allowing customers to review artwork through their web browser.
Banner and Canvas Finishing Tools enable users to prepare all the finishing aspects of banners with grommet marks, folds, stitch marks and bleeds in a matter of seconds.
Animated Cut Viewer Tools allow users to analyse how designs will cut prior to the process with an animated preview that displays all blade and cut movement for one or all vinyl colour layers.
Contour Cut True Shape Nesting ensures maximum media savings for print-and-cut jobs with contour cut true shape nesting, which rotates and nests images based on their actual shape.
A new mobile app enables business owners to view recent jobs on their Apple or Android smartphone, tablet or smartwatch on-the-go.
Another feature is support for the Latest HP Wallart Suite, with the highest level of HP Certification.
FlexiPrint provides a seamless web-to-print workflow from a user's HP Wallart account through FlexiPrint to HP Latex production printers, SAi said.
