The SF-200 device can print directly onto objects up to 538x360 and 100mm high with a maximum weight of 5kg and is suitable for a broad range of materials including wood, aluminium, glass and leather as well as ABS, OVC, TPU, PET, PP and PMMA.
The piezo inkjet nozzles print in five colours (cyan, magenta, yellow, black and white) at 1,400dpi resolution and use eco-solvent inks that comply with EN71-3 toy safety standard, making it safe for use on toys, food containers and medical equipment.
The device is powered by Roland’s VersaWorks 6 Harlequin RIP and can print onto a single object or several at once. It retails at £19,999.
The manufacturer said it is suited to food container manufacturers or retailers who want to personalised lunch boxes or drinking receptacles for example, while in the medical, health and hygiene industries it is suited to instruments and labels and personalisation of items such as toothbrushes, thermometers and cosmetics packaging.
