Available with immediate effect, the VersaUV LEC2 is a series of roll-to-roll printer/cutters that comprises the 762mm-wide LEC2-330 and the 1.625m-wide LEC2-640.
Designed for both indoor and outdoor applications, Roland DG said these machines are suitable for mock-ups and prototypes, and for print companies looking to add premium quality or special effects to a wide range of signs and graphics.
Paul Willems, director of business development and product management at Roland DG EMEA, said: “We know that print businesses are deriving significant commercial value from the speed, simplicity and short print runs that UV enables.
“The LEC2-330 and 640 models provide even more revenue opportunities by broadening the types of roll-to-roll and semi-rigid media that customers can print on, as well as sharpening the quality of output.”
The list price for the LEC2-330 is £16,999 while the LEC2-640 is available for £19,999.
Also now commercially available, the new VersaUV LEC2 S-Series flatbeds can print onto a wide array of substrates and objects, both flexible and rigid.
Comprising four flatbed models, the S-Series is offered in a range of configurations and sizes to suit production environments and requirements of all types.
The range is available in two widths, 762mm and 1.625m, and in three length configurations, F200, F300 or F400, with a printable height of 230mm.
Roland DG said this series was suitable for signmakers, personalisation printers, industrial printers and packaging specialists looking for new profit opportunities and to shorten their time-to market.
The manufacturer is also offering bespoke versions of the S-Series models on request, for those who need alternative bed lengths or a belt printer option.
“The VersaUV LEC2 S-Series flatbed printers are ideal as a next step for existing users of benchtop UV printers or as an upgrade for existing S-Series users, businesses with ambition looking to enter the world of UV printing or those with more industrial scale requirements,” said Willems.
All VersaUV LEC2 models are equipped with the new EUV5 ink, which Roland DG said offers around a 25% reduction in the cost of ink when compared to the previous generation, alongside new printable primer ink and further safety enhancements.
All models are available in several ink configurations, including double CMYK for increased productivity, or CMYK with primer, gloss and white for a wider range of capabilities.
Pricing for the VersaUV LEC2 S-Series starts at £39,999 for the LEC2-330S-F200, while the top spec’d model in the range, the LEC2-640S-F400, has a list price of £52,999.
