The 25.1 release of the company’s software introduces “highly requested” features by customers, including job ticket conversion, manual approval options, and expanded AI capabilities.
The release includes optimisations and new features at various stages of the production process.
One new feature is the simplified handling of job properties; the software can now generate job tickets automatically by converting the imported CSV to start jobs. This results in faster workflows as there is no more need for individual conversion.
Also; dynamic image display within job instructions so that specific manual approvals of print job quality can now be carried out more easily and directly, as specific options have been added in the job instructions that automatically show the preview of the document and can be compared with the actual job.
There is also an entirely new AI OCR module in the normalisation process that recognises text from images and provides it as separate output. This enables users to automatically generate text out of scanned documents.
OneVision said 25.1 also features new innovations for the wide-format segment. The nesting module now accommodates slight misalignment of contours in duplex printing and supports varied bleed values on a single sheet, improving material savings.
Tiling enables white space on tiled objects, facilitating post-production for gluing or welding. Additionally, with the milling feature it is now possible to preview the contours a milling tool generates.
At Fespa, running from 6-9 May at Messe Berlin, OneVision said it will showcase its latest innovations designed to streamline and automate wide-format print production, including “a digital production tracking solution for smart factories”.
In addition to its own booth (25-C25), the company will also be exhibiting at the booth of its partner Canon Europe (25-B10).
OneVision said its Wide Format Automation Suite provides a holistic approach to improving the efficiency of various wide-format printing applications, including vehicle wraps, POS materials, branding, signage, banners, and small-format items such as labels.
The ‘middleware’ streamlines production from file input to press and finishing equipment, and is said to ensure optimal substrate utilisation through intelligent nesting, tiling, and cut line management. Automated file preparation enables significant time savings with large files.
“At Fespa Berlin 2025, visitors will see firsthand how OneVision’s automation solutions enhance operational efficiency, reduce errors, and digitise production,” said Sacha-Vittorio Paolucci, head of sales Europe at OneVision Software.
“Beyond conventional automation, our innovative integration of computer vision technologies and advanced tracking capabilities allows businesses to achieve unparalleled visibility and traceability across their production and supply chain processes.
“This empowers print service providers to leverage real-time data analytics, ensure accuracy, and enhance customer interactions, effectively futureproofing their operations in an increasingly digital and interconnected market.”
OneVision said its Stations software enhances automation by integrating manual tasks – such as sewing, corner rounding, and eyeletting – and analogue machines into digital workflows.
It minimises errors with step-by-step instructions, provides real-time feedback and improves tracking and service level agreements with status updates.
