Software manufacturer OneVision has taken on Paul Franklin as its new regional sales director for the UK/Ireland region and Scandinavia.

He told Printweek: “We see a trend and an exciting opportunity to explore the industry’s challenges together. At OneVision we see the power of automation addressing some of the concerns that many print business have witnessed over recent times.

“Addressing environmental concerns, labour shortages and a need to steer clients to a more automated and efficient service sees OneVision at the forefront of change.”

He added: “Whilst adding unique value and complete ownership, we will act as a trusted partner in delivering better margin, fuller autonomy and clear and concise systems to integrate into your current solutions.

“Fully agnostic, we enable clients to be in 100% control of their workflows and production processes.

OneVision will be exhibiting at Hunkeler Innovationdays in Lucerne next month where it will mark its third appearance at the event by presenting its modular automation offerings that integrate production processes from file preparation, printing and finishing to post-press.

The company said its Book Automation Suite enables end-to-end automation, from order entry to printing and finishing, and ensures smooth interaction between high-speed printers, MIS systems, and bookbinding equipment.

The flexible software is said to optimise machine utilisation, significantly reducing setup and process times, while increasing productivity.

Meanwhile, OneVision’s Stations software integrates manual tasks and analogue machines into digital workflows. It minimises errors with step-by-step instructions, provides real-time feedback, and improves tracking and service level agreements with status updates.

Finally, the company’s Workspace Production software enables “dynamic grouping and processing of print jobs based on workflow and machine parameters using innovative batching functionality”. This maximises efficiency and press utilisation.

Hunkeler Innovationdays will run from 24-27 February 2025 at Messe Lucerne in Switzerland.
