Astrolite PC 100 Digital+ has been optimised for HP Indigo technology and is targeted at applications including brochures, DM, stationery and calendars and can be specified in weights from 120gsm to 190gsm.
The mill's other new grade, Astrolite PC 100 Velvet C2S, is also Indigo certified, but features a “universal coating” that supports all toner technologies and litho. It’s available in weights from 120gsm to 400gsm, and the heaviest single ply sheet is, according to Monadnock, unique.
In addition to the applications of Digital+, Velvet C2S’s matte velvet coating suits products including annual reports, catalogues and premium packaging.
Both new grades offer ISO brightness of 96, are made from 100% post-consumer waste (PCW), are FSC certified and are available in formats from SRA3 to B2+.
“Today more jobs require shorter runs and variable data with the print quality that HP Indigo presses afford,” said Julie Brannen, Monadnock director of sustainable innovation.
“Because of the high quality of Monadnock’s PCW recycled papers, there is no longer a compromise between quality and the environment.”
Monadnock products are available in the UK from GF Smith.
