Capable of printing at speeds up to 17,000pph (DL envelopes), the Condor 250 uses dye-based inks suited for uncoated envelope stock and includes MCS’ Raptor PDF workflow, for increased job integrity and print quality.
MCS president Dave Loos described the machine as “the solution that advertising mailers have been looking for”.
“The envelope has been a challenge to the success of process colour digital presses. If prospects don’t open the envelope, direct mail cannot work,” he said.
“The Condor 250 introduces reliable and technologically proven process colour inkjet at a fraction of the price of competitor solutions, offering an economical choice for medium to large mail manufacturers to add trending 4C colour variable data to their existing enclosing lines or for standalone production.”
He added: “The Condor 250 capital cost is typically 40% less than comparable 4C colour module solutions found in the market.
“Based on the same HP thermal inkjet technology found in the HP T series inkjet web presses, the core technology has been proven in the industrial mail manufacturing space and proves competitive with its consistent quality, reliable HP technology, and its high production output.”
The Condor 250 is commercially available with immediate effect from MCS’ exclusive UK and Ireland distributor Promail.
The machine works with MCS’ existing Perfect Match read and print system, which the manufacturer said can be integrated into almost any enclosing line and brings integrity matched mail to small and large direct mailers.
