Woaf Backlit 150gsm and Woaf Satin 200g are now certified for use on the HP Latex 3000, 3100 and 3500 3.2m-wide printers.
The Woaf range comprises three types of paper, Woaf Backlit 150gsm, Woaf Satin 200gsm and Woaf Gloss 220gsm, which feature a special coating which Guyenne said enables drying and ink coverage times to be reduced. They form part of the SuniSolvant range, which is compatible with solvent, eco-solvent, mild-solvent, UV and latex printing, according to the manufacturer.
Marketing assistant Marie Theulieras said the certification made life easier for customers who can search for Guyenne products and other substrates by region, a specific machine, application, or brand name on the HP Media Solutions Locator website. The site allows users to look for RIP settings and media presets.
“There is no need to spend a long time building a profile, it is free and downloadable,” she said.
“This certification is very important for us, it is a proof of the quality of our products. HP is internationally known so our customers can be certain that our products work on HP Latex.”
Satin-coated paper Woaf Backlit 150gsm can be used for posters or backlit boxes, Guyenne said, adding that it lends itself to large-scale visuals and is a cost-effective and eco-friendly alternative to backlit films.
The material is said to achieve top quality colour reproduction against the light because of a special fibre formation and a non-reflective effect.
For applications where a non-reflective satin finish is required, Guyenne recommends Woaf Satin 200gsm, a coated, satin paper designed for poster or large size poster printing.
While Woaf Gloss 220gsm is a glossy coated paper intended for poster or large size poster printing. It is a cost-efficient and eco-friendly alternative to traditional, complex PE photo papers and a good surface for colour rendering, according to Guyenne.
The company is awaiting certification on more products including Woaf Gloss 220g, Decolov 140gsm and Sunset 120g.
