The new range, which has been available in the US since the beginning of the year, includes HP Premium Satin Canvas, HP Everyday Satin Canvas and HP Backlit Polyester Film.
Specialist media distribution business BMG has an exclusive worldwide licensing partnership with HP for the range, which it has been selling in the UK since April.
The group's UK&I sales representative Julian Mainwaring said: “There's a lot of opportunity in the UK for these products in the fine art and textile industries.”
The HP Premium Satin Canvas has a bright-white base and wide colour gamut for fine art and accurate photographic reproductions. It is scratch and crack resistant and includes stretching for gallery wraps and mounted applications.
The HP Everyday Satin Canvas is a semi-matt, slightly textured canvas for production-oriented decor and display work and the HP Backlit Polyester Film has a "super-wide" colour gamut that produces vibrant colours and has sharp detail when backlit.
BMG currently has 20 resellers and two distrubutors in the UK that can offer these products including Perfect Colours, Art Systems, Westcoast and CWE Solutions.
“We are licensed by HP to source, market and distribute worldwide all of its wide-format media across new lines in the latex, sign and display and technical and graphics platforms,” said Mainwaring.
