The four-colour SureColor SC-F6400 and six-colour SureColor SC-F6400H are suitable for applications such as textile production, personalised products, and high-end photo reproduction.
The manufacturer said the printers offer a range of significant improvements, including increased productivity and reduced wastage.
Based on Epson’s Micro TFP PrecisionCore technology, which is designed to deliver exceptional image quality, Epson said both printers offer different advantages depending on the needs of the user.
The SC-F6400 increases productivity by 20% compared to its predecessor the SC-F6300. The SC-F6400H, meanwhile, provides an extended colour gamut by offering the use of CMYK, plus a choice of either Fluorescent Pink and Fluorescent Yellow, Light Cyan and Light Magenta or Orange and Violet.
As Epson’s first six-colour 44-inch dye-sub printer, the manufacturer said the SC-F6400H opens the door to an expanded range of potential applications for both textile and rigid substrates, and would be of particular interest to those producing fashion, homewear, sportswear, soft signage, and promotional items. The machine will come with a take-up reel included.
Both printers also include new, higher-capacity ink packs to reduce replacement frequency and waste, and also feature a new 4.3-inch touch screen which is 30% larger than the previous model.
Simplified maintenance routines minimise downtime, Epson said, while software bundles are included to help businesses run more efficiently and better analyse costing and profitability.
“With a high market share, Epson has built a strong reputation for supporting business with true end-to-end printing solutions that offer the highest levels of quality, flexibility and cost-efficiency,” said Tom Owers, product manager at Epson.
“These new printers are perfect examples of our commitment to listening to market needs and delivering timely and effective solutions.”
Epson said availability for the new machines will begin in December and they will be sold via the manufacturer’s specialist reseller partners. Pricing is still being finalised.
