In addition to upgrading the 44-inch (1.12m) SC-T7700D model, Epson has also introduced 24-inch (0.61m) and 36-inch (0.91m) models, all based on a compact and fully integrated design, as well as offering features unique to the market, such as high security and an enhanced colour gamut.
Designed to meet the technical drawing needs of the architectural, engineering, and construction industries, the machines are also able to produce quality advertising posters for retail and public sector users.
With the new additions, the SureColor SC-Tx700 Series now consists of the original 44-inch SC-T7700D (dual roll), a new 44-inch SC-T7700DL (dual roll with 1.6-litre ink pouches), the 36-inch SC-T5700D (dual roll), and three 24-inch models – SC-T3700E (single roll, no Adobe PostScript), SC-T3700DE (dual roll, no Adobe PostScript), and SC-T3700D (dual roll).
Epson’s SC-Tx700 printers use Epson’s six-colour UltraChrome XD3 all-pigment inks. These include a new red ink that widens the colour gamut of the printers and makes them suitable for applications such as marking up CAD drawings and precisely replicating corporate logos.
The machines also offer several enhanced IT and security features.
Based on Epson’s Micro TFP PrecisionCore printhead technology, many products in the extended SC-Tx700 Series also feature the manufacturer’s Variable Sized Droplet Technology and Nozzle Verification Technology, together with Adobe PostScript as standard, “to ensure consistent and exceptional image quality with minimal maintenance”.
The machines are said to have “an extremely compact footprint” and can print at speeds of up to 150sqm/hr.
Additionally, through the Epson Cloud Solution PORT platform, users are able to monitor equipment across sites, or multiple printers at a single site, anytime and anywhere. Maintenance tracking and remote troubleshooting services are also available to improve efficiency and productivity.
Tom Owers, Pro Graphics product manager at Epson UK, said: “Whether this represents a customer’s first investment in a large-format printer, or they’re looking to expand their current print facilities, the SureColor SC-Tx700 Series offers something that meets their needs perfectly.
“Offering superb print quality, outstanding productivity, high security, and excellent reliability, they are unbeatable value for money.”
Information on price is available from Epson’s reseller partners. The SC-T7700DL is available from March while the other devices are all available now.
Separately, Epson has also added three new 24-inch models to complement its existing 44-inch SureColor SC-P8500D large-format printer, designed for high-volume poster production and copy shops. These new machines can print on a wide range of media types, including poster boards.
Also new is a 44-inch fully integrated production printer with smart features and a six colour Ink Pack System.
The three new 24-inch models, the SureColor SC-P6500E (single roll), SC-P6500D (dual roll with PostScript) and SC-P6500DE (dual roll), and the 44-inch SureColor SC-P8500DL, join the 44-inch SureColor SC-P8500D to form the SureColor SC-Px500 Series.
These new models are all available immediately and pricing is again available via Epson’s reseller partners.
