The kit is billed as an easy-to-use machine that dovetails high quality, productivity, flexibility and reliability with low running and maintenance costs. In its fastest print mode, dual CMYK, the device prints a t-shirt in 27 seconds.
SureColor SC-F2000, launched in September, is designed to print directly onto t-shirts, hoodies, jackets, bags and hats and is targeted at professional garment print companies and a variety of high-street retail outlets looking to add an additional revenue stream to their businesses.
“There is considerable pent-up demand for a reliable, high-quality direct-to-garment printer and the Epson SureColor SC-F2000 ticks all the boxes,” says Epson UK sales manager for professional imaging Phil McMullin.
The SureColor SC-F2000 uses Epson UltraChrome DG ink with white, a new garment ink formulated specifically for the new Epson PrecisionCore TFP printhead. The printer produces text and images with a wide colour gamut and smooth colour gradations.
Two models include a standard high-speed CMYK-only printer and the CMYK+White model, which offers white ink for printing on dark or colour fabrics. Recommended price is £14,795 for each model.
McMullin said: “The resellers between them provide 360 degree coverage of the market. Adelco, i-Sub and RA Smart supply complimentary products, specialist training and support. High-street quick-print and photo outlets will be served by DTG Solutions, which has a record in this sector.”
