For all honeycomb materials, the DL 45° tool makes it possible to start V-cutting anywhere on the sheet, as the independent blades are electronically controlled. It can also be used in the traditional V-cut mode, with a single blade, for maximum flexibility.
Also new was the Digital Multi Degree (DMD) cutting module for circular and fixed blades. Both the multi-degree giant, motorised circular blade, up to 200mm in diameter, and the multi-degree fixed cutting tool can easily cut all honeycomb materials and allow users to digitally set the angle of the blades to suit their job.
Additionally, the new automatic 3kW Milling Tool Changer comes with three different milling tools so users do not have to manually change the tools between jobs.
Finally, the new Automatic Feeding System was in action together with SDS, the incorporated patented Seeker System that adds an extra camera underneath the tabletop to scan materials directly from the underside.
Speaking to Printweek at Fespa, Elitron events and marketing specialist Claudia Marcantoni said that with the new enhancements, production will be “smarter and faster for customers”.
She added: “We think that Fespa is one of the most important shows for the digital printing and visual communications sector. Every time, we meet a lot of new contacts, both partners and clients, and it’s also very useful to improve our partnership with other companies that we used to work with usually.
“It’s a good place to show your new technologies because people from all over the world come here, so every time we come we go back to Italy with interesting contacts and new opportunities.”
