Day to sell new offline coating machines

Distributor Day Graphic Systems has expanded its product offering with the addition of a new range of offline coating machines.

The anilox coaters, which are manufactured in the Far East, offer both UV and infrared coating, along with a spot-coating option.

Machines in the range include the FC80 which caters for sheets up to 80mm wide and has a list price of around £95,000; and the FC65, which is for B3 formats and has a list price of £65,000.

The coaters, which are built to order, are aimed at both digital and offset printers.

DGS owner Chris Day said: "The majority of small, offline coaters only produce an all-over seal. These machines have extended conveyors, ensuring that high gloss levels are attainable, and spot results can be achieved by using stripping blankets or polymer plates.

"We also have support from coating specialists to complete the package and give impartial advice on coatings. These machines have been manufactured to a very high standard and are easy to maintain."

Ex-Heidelberg UK marketing manager Richard Bradley has been recruited as a consultant to help bring DGS's new coater offering to market.

Farnborough-based DGS, which was founded in 1992, specialises in equipment refurbishment and remarketing, as well as factory removals.
