Suitable for Bobst and similar machines, the range is produced by a German company on behalf of C&T and carries a ‘Made in Germany’ quality guarantee.
The main components of the range, which is available with immediate effect, are aluminium stripping frames, three-, five-, seven- and nine-pin holders and precision engineered stripping pins, all of which are made to OEM specifications. C&T said the products are available from UK stock for next-day delivery.
C&T managing director Simon Shenton said: “This isn't something that we've ever supplied before, usually you would buy these from the original equipment manufacturer. But we noticed that people were wanting an alternative so we had them drawn up and manufactured to the same specification.
“Our commitment to customers is to secure high-quality products backed up with a solid supply line that is offered at a competitive price.”
Separately, C&T has just been granted ‘approved partner’ status by DS Smith. The business has supplied several DS Smith sites across the UK and Europe for many years and will now supply and provide technical advice for all of the group's UK operations.
C&T commercial director Howard Mead said: “DS Smith is using a wide variety of products from our portfolio to help enhance the end users packaging performance for POS, brown box and carton.
“We have been invited to several DS Smith sites in the UK and Europe to advise on technical issues and help to overcome the inherent problems of converted corrugated fluted board.”
DS Smith European divisional category manager Andy Bowles added: “It’s important to have a quality supplier with multiple manufacturing sites that can service our growing business. Understanding our needs is important and the team at C&T has a vast technical knowledge.
“As a PLC it’s also imperative for DS Smith to balance quality and technical support with good value for our shareholders and that’s exactly what C&T provides.”
Wellingborough, Northamptonshire-based C&T has launched a raft of new products over the last few months, including a new locating device to save on makeready times during the die-cutting process, a range of steel cutting plates and accessories for Heidelberg Cylinder users.
The firm also parted company with its UK distributor Partwell in order to distribute more of its products direct.
