Caldera vice-president of marketing Sebastien Hanssens highlighted a number of improvements that have been made to V11, since V10’s release two years ago. He said that the new APPE 4.0 software, also being shown at Drupa for the first time, enables users to have more shades, handle more cutters, and works with stronger gradients.
Hanssens said: “Drupa is always a good show for creating a buzz. This is keeping up with industry standards, machines are growing faster, using more resources from the printer. Because a machine without a printer is nothing, it is like a nice car without an engine.”
Caldera is also showcasing its Rack Server and Caldera Colour Viewer, for more realistic colour viewing on screen. It has 22 partner exhibitors at drupa, including HP.
